ELMIA 2017

The season started off with one of the largest car shows here in Scandinavia, the ELMIA show hosted by Bilsport magazine in the Easter weekend. This is where all the freshest builds from Europe show off and builders meet after the winter.

The show takes place in Jönköping, Sweden and has about 70 000 visitors each year!

Moldestuket - Show'N Shine

In may of 2017 me and a group of friends in the car club Moldestuket hosted a show in an ice skating arena called the vikingship. We invited some of the coolest cars from Europe, and it became one of the best car shows in years here in Norway in terms of high standard and quality builds. We're repeating the success next year on the 12-13th of May, be there or be square!

GATEBIL

In 2017 I was invited to be one of the juries for Gatebil at the events in Norway and Sweden, It was a lot of fun! Cool people, cool cars, good weather and bad weather. Gatebil is an action filled festival that started in the 90's and has grown to be one of the largest and most well known motorsport festival in the world. There's five festivals each year at three different tracks. Drifting, Time-Attack, Party, Repeat!

Viper V10 powered Foxbody

Here's one of my favorite builds from Gatebil last year, what has once been a 90's Mustang has now become a tire shredding monster! Built by Michel Rayes from Pony Drift

Time Attack muscle

Another badass build from Gatebil last year is this 73' Time Attack Camaro Z28R!
This is actually one of my first ever livery designs that I did around 2014. The car is built by Ronny Teigen.

Oslo motor show

Picture
The day before my flight from Oslo to Los Angeles I checked out Oslo Motor Show, the largest car show in Norway. I had already seen most of the cars that was there but it's always cool to meet people I'm working with.

Garage visit

Picture
In the end of October I flew out to the United States to attend the SEMA show in Vegas. I landed in LA a couple of days before the show and visited Shawn Hudspeth from Huddy Racing, the guys that built this Ferrari powered Drift Toyota called the ''GT4586.''
I first got to check out the shop and their current builds and then we went to his house to see the Toyota. How cool are you when you have a car like this just piled in the garage?
Picture
After we studied the car for a bit he fired it up, a Ferrari V8 with headers that go straight through the fender in front of the front tires sounds pretty amazing!

Then we went for a ride, trust me it was fun! He told me the car isn't neighbor friendly.

sema 2017

SEMA is every petrolheads heaven. It's where all the top builders and brands show of the latest and greatest. This year I had designed three cars for SEMA. A Datsun 240z by Flow Auto Solutions, The Charger RTR by Johan Eriksson and a 70' Mustang BOSS by Bobby Eisenach.
SEMA is the perfect place for networking, finding inspiration and getting your mind blown.
After four days of show when you barely can stand on your feet anymore it's time for the cars to leave the halls. That's SEMA ignited, the epic rollout where you get to see all these amazing cars actually running in a parade that lasts for hours.

After SEMA I spent a few weeks in Los Angeles.

Got to hang out with Johan one day for a shoot with the RTR Charger and Vicious Mustang, One thing is to see these cars on shows with spotlights but it's way cooler to see them with the beautiful reflections and the sound of 1000hp engines rolling down the streets of LA.

friday

One friday night I met with Ron Baugh from Forgiato Wheels and got a ride from Hollywood to the valley in his daily driven Hellcat!  I also got to check out his fox body nicknamed ''Project Kitsune'' hence the JDM style with overfenders and fender mirrors. Both of these cars have been featured on Hoonigans daily show.

Then we went out to Bob's Big Boy where car guys meet up every friday.

Galpin auto sport

On the last weekend of my trip I visited Galpin Auto sport, They have a really cool museum with some legendary Fords and a collection of Ed Roths wicked creations, the artist behind rat fink and some of the most iconic hot rod art ever. Later that day some RWB Porsches and a guy from Japan showed up.
Picture
Mr Nakai San himself making the latest RWB creation for the owner of G.A.S. It was pretty cool to see him finishing up the build in a short amount of time. This was build number 73 in the US.

While Nakai was building one inside the shop, five local RWB builds arrived outside.

Later that evening the Porsche was done, such a cool experience to witness it come to life!
